The Public Security Directorate, represented by the General Traffic Department, launched the driving authorization service for visitors to the Kingdom, which is one of the electronic services provided through the Ministry of Interior platform “Absher Business”, which allows vehicle rental offices to authorize visitors to the Kingdom to drive vehicles through the border number.
The service is distinguished by saving effort and time for visitors without the need to visit the headquarters of the relevant Ministry of Interior sectors and enables rental offices to provide them with automated services,
as they include visitors and tourists coming to the Kingdom while attending the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The launch of this service comes as an extension of the Ministry of Interior’s endeavors to enable digital transformation, provide electronic services and digital solutions to citizens, residents, and visitors, and complete their transaction procedures easily, in order to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030
